The tribe has spoken!

Every year our Cape Cod professional photographer group has a contest to see which members will have their images represent the group on the web. Our group has grown very large in the past couple of years and we are now only allowed to enter 2 images each. A portrait and a wedding image. The contest is then voted on by the studios in the organization. This year there was a total of 66 entries and I am proud to say that I received second place in the portrait category and and honorable mention in the wedding category. Pretty cool!

Megan and Shanon at The Popponessett Inn

Had a great weekend last weekend and it all started with the rehearsal dinner for the wedding of Megan and Shannon. In from California they celebrated their rehearsal at the new Casino Wharf in Falmouth Heights. It was a great night for all. They were married on Friday afternoon at Christ The King in Mashpee and then off to the Popponessett Inn. The weather held out and gave us amazing light on the beach! The guests danced the night away and it felt like August! Cheers and Congrats guys! Have fun in France!!!!

Trash The Dress!

The latest trend in wedding portraiture is for the bride to adorn her dress after the big day and go have some fun, casual portraits. This is just what Laura and I did on Sunday and we had a blast! The light was amazing and Laura looked just as beautiful if not more than she did on her wedding day a few weeks ago! Florist Sue Hobart even got into the fun and made Laura a new bouquet! Zohar and Tim

Congratulations to Zohar and Tim! They had a beautiful wedding at a friend's home in Brookline. (yes, I went over the bridge!) They were married under a massive and georgeous Chestnut Tree. The rain held off and gave us the most amazing light to photograph. People traveled from all over the world to be there and share in their happiness! Cheers to both of you, thanks for having us there!

Laura and Ramsey at The Woods Hole Golf Club

Yesterday and into last night we had an amazing time with Laura and Ramsey! Their wedding day was just perfect and everything was flawless! The weather was perfect as was the bride! Her flowers were creatively created by Sue Hobart and did not disappoint! The Woods Hole Golf Club was amazing with the delicious food, impeccable service and the amazing view of Quissett Harbor with bonus sunset. The cake was created by the famous Lisa Raffael of Delicious Desserts and had an amazing coffee filing that got the guests talking! With the help of great family and friends, everyone danced the night away to the music of Murry Hill Talent! Congrats guys and enjoy!

Audrey and Michael at Popponessett Inn

Last night (yup, Wednesday) I had the greatest time photographing Audrey and Michael's wedding at The Popponesset Inn. They traveled all the way from Ireland to say their I do's. Audrey looked amazing in a stunning gown from Brides By The Bay in Falmouth. The whole event was flawlessly pulled off from Linda Garland from Cape Cod Wedding Designers. What a wonderful way to spend a Wednesday in August! Thanks guys!!! Have a safe trip home!

Jenna and Gil at Nauticus Marina

Photographed an amazing wedding on Saturday! Jenna and Gil got married! The backdrop was amazing at Nauticus Marina in Osterville. The rain clouds stayed away and left us with the most beautiful soft light! The flowers were gorgeous by Meredith Fancy and the food was of course perfect from Casual Gourmet! Everyone danced the night away and the the newly weds left in style by boat for all to see! Congrats!!!

Jodi and Gabriel at Ocean Edge 7-22-07

Jodi and Gabriel's wedding yesterday was one of amazing color and love! Jodi walked down the isle in Gabriel's grandmother's dress, worn 75 years earlier! Amazing! They said their I do's under the great tree on the front lawn of Ocean Edge. This tree then made the perfect backdrop for the family portraits. We then headed to the beach for a great blue sky and breezy winds. The music was provided by Mike Hennessey which got people dancing all night long in the Bay Pines Pavilion. Congratulations to Jodi and Gabriel!

Saturday's perfect weather brought a most beautiful wedding at the property at the end of Shore Street in Falmouth! With the colorful flowers by Merideth Fancy in Orleans, the perfect Sperry Tent and the gorgeous tresses of the bride were created by Jacki Norri of Wedding Tresses. The meal was flawless by The Casual Gourmet and my pal Lisa from Delicious Desserts provided the simple but elegantly delicious cake. The guests danced the night away to the sounds of Mike Dumas and The Hollywood Horns! It had been a while since I had seen Mike Dumas but they still rock!!! It was truly a wonderful evening and I am so thankful that this June was much drier than the downpours of 2006! Congrats Todd and Kathryn!!!

Congratulations Laurie and Larry!!!!

We had an AMAZING day with Laurie and Larry yesterday! The weather was perfect and no details were left out with this wedding! Laurie looked gorgeous and Larry was very handsome! All of the animals cooperated and cheered (or moo'd) them on during the ceremony! Laurie and her girls arrived in two different horse drawn carriages and the groomsmen walked the couple's dogs down the isle. Bear the dog was the ring bearer as Buzz the sheep looked on. The horses grazed in the fields as they said their vows. The guests then went into the oversized tent for music by Cheryl Park. There was dancing and a lot of fun all night long!

Today's Wedding

Today's wedding is one that I have been looking forward to. I look forward to all of the weddings I do, but this one guarantees to be different. I ask all my couples to fill out a wedding info sheet so I can learn names and see who will be involved in their wedding. When I received Laurie and Larry's sheet I saw that there was a different type of ring bearer. See for yourself!

Mike and Allison at The Simsbury Inn

Just back from a great wedding in Connecticut at the Simsbury Inn . Mike and Allison celebrated in style with all of their friends and relatives at the inn. It seemed that there were more Cape people at this wedding than we see at Cape weddings! How Fun!

We took photos at the spot where Mike and Allison originally met; Suffield Academy. The grounds were just right for photography. Very New England and lovely.

The rain held off and the cloud cover made for beautiful lighting! We stayed the night at the inn and traveled back on Sunday in great weather. This part of Connecticut is just beautiful and I hope to get back and spend more time! To see the entire event go to http://www.pictage.com/ ! Cheers!

Congratulations Stephanie and Charlie! We beat the rain and had an amazing day! The light green bridesmaids dresses brightened the day and the tulips made everyone smile! Megan and John got married this weekend! Their reception was held in an amazing Sperry tent on the front lawn of The Ocean Edge Resort in Brewster. The flowers were gorgeous shades of pinks laden ed with peony by florist Kelly Dolloff of Artistic Blossoms. lEveryone danced all night long to the sounds of Kahootz .
